GLOSSARY
Amatsu-Kami (Ref. table of spirit-ranks)
   The gods who control each universe.

Ametsuchi-no-Kami (Ref. table of spirit-ranks)
   The gods who control the grand natural nature.

Amoeba
   Any of various minute one-celled organisms having an indefinite, changeable form.

Arare
   A kind of rice cracker

Bishamon (Chapt. 19) (Ref. table of spirit-ranks)
   One of the titles of the gods in the rank of Myohjin

Botamochi
   Rice cake dumpling covered with bean paste.

Butsudan
   A house or altar where Hotokes (dead person-souls) are enshrined and worshipped by families after their death.

Chinju guardian deities
   The deities charged with protection of each territory.

Daikon
   Nipponese radish

Fudohmyohoh
   One of the titles of the gods in the rank of Myohjin

Fujiwara
   The family name of the clan which once governed Nippon in its best days

Gyoh
   The discipline: a general term of conduct for achievement of a duty and a mission.

Gohei
   This is a religious tool to be mainly used in order to expel a possessing spirit and purify a physical body.

Hanko (spotted fox-god)
   One of the titles of the gods in the rank of Myohjin

Heike
   The family name of the clan which once governed Nippon in its best days

Hoh
   A general term of the Heavenly rules to secure safety; law and order.

Hohriki
   The power manifested by gods through their Heavenly rules.

Hotoke
   'Hotoke' is a general term for the souls who were once humans, who finished their duties, returning to the spirit world, but were not raised to a rank of god higher than that of human. (Cahpt. 23)

Inari
   One of the titles of the gods in the rank of Myohjin. (Chapt. 12)

Jichin-sai
   The ceremony of purifying building site and of begging earth-gods for permission to build. (Chapt. 1 5)

Jinja
   A god's house

Jin-tsuhriki
   The Heavenly power gifted from higher ranking gods.

Johbutsu
   Arriving at the blissful and peaceful state in the spirit world after death. (Chapt. 23)

Johbutsu Kuyoh-Hoh
   The Heavenly rule to let spirits go to Johbutsu (peaceful state). (Chapt. 23)

Juso
   Curses or spells

Kannon (or Kanzeon)
   One of the lineages of gods. The lineages consist of five kinds, Hi-no-kami, Hidama-no-kami, Jikon-no-kami, Yorozu-gami, Kanzeon.

Kasoh-Nanyoke
   The Heaveuly rule of protection against the disasters from unlucky aspect of a house. (Chapt. 1 4)

Kimon (Ushi-Tora)
   The direction between the north-northeast and the east-northeast.

Kohjin
   The gods who preside over the premises. (Chapt. 17)

Konjin (Chapt. 27)

Konpaku A spirit original soul
   Life itself without any material body, and it needs no material food. It has its own free will. (P. 17, 18)

Kunitsu-Kalni ( Ref. table of spirit-ranks)
   The gods who control each heavenly body.

Kuyoh
   To pray each god to save the souls clinging to you, to take away the souls possessing and hurting you, or to clear away the will-waves (thought-waves) bringing the disasters upon you.

Kuyoh-Hoh
   The Heavenly rule of the Kuyoh

Kyohten
   A kind of canon where many gods' names and prayers are written.

Magami
   The gods whose duties are to watch over and test all the disciplinarians (gods, humans, and all the other living things).

Manjuh
   Bean-jam bun

Mayoi
   To lose one' sway

Mayou
   Lose one' sway

Menoh-no-Tama
   Menoh-no-Tama is Capsule of all mother nature, and the Capsule is, so to speak, a ball covered with a wall of super energy, and in its inside, 35 Nana-U-Maris (one Nana-U-Mari consists of seven universes) are moving along on its own course like the planetary bodies. What an astronomy calls' the grand universe' is only one of 245 universes here.

Miko
   Psychic medium

Minamoto
   The family name of the clan which once governed Nippon in its best days.

Mind-will
   The thoughts you have in your mind which you have not expressed; the will which is not active yet, but is still inside; only thinking of something in your mind (a mind-capsule does not yet vibrate).

Mind-capsule
   This is a very important apparatus both for transmission and reception of will which a spirit original soul gives out. (Chapt. 30)

Miyoh
   Truth and reason

Muen-Botoke
   A Hotoke unrelated to you by blood.

Mukade Taisan Kuyoh-Hoh
   The Heavenly rule to make centipede souls leave your body, or help them to get to Johbutsu.

Myohjin
   The gods who closely control all the living things (including humans), and control civilization.

Nenki
   Oddly periodical manner of the lapse of time; one, three, five, seven -- days, months, years (containing a half year, ten years, thirty years --)

Nenryoh
   All the phenomena caused by the will-waves (thought-waves) of grudge, envy, stinginess, jealousy, anxiety, and others.

Nenryoh Taisan Kuyoh-Hoh
   The Heavenly rule to escape from the disasters of others' Nenryoh.

Nenryoh Zange Kuyoh-Hoh: The Kuyoh-Hoh for apology
   You apologize to gods for having given out the will such as jealousy, envy, grudge, and etc. against others in the past (of course you must apologize to others, too), and you pray to gods to extinguish those will-waves (thought-waves) that were already given forth into the universe.

Nioh
   One of the titles of the gods in the rank of Myohjin.

Omoi (Chapt. 20)
   When A yearns after B, B is subject to the influence of A's will-waves. All the phenomena that happen on B's side we call 'Omoi'.

Out-will
   Out-will means the will given out when making up your mind about something; a mind-capsule vibrates.

Riten
   One of the titles of the gods in the rank of Myohjin.

Renbo (Chapt. 20)
   When A yearns after B, we call 'Renbo' all the reactionary phenomena that happen on A's Side.

Ryuhjin ( Dragon-god)
   One of the titles of the gods in the rank of Myohjin.

Ryuh-oh (Dragon-King)
   One of the titles of the gods in a higher rank than that of Ryuhjin.

Ryuhjin Taisan Kuyoh
   The Kuyoh to make Ryuhjins possessing your body leave or to save them.

Sake
   Nipponese liquor

Sekihan
   Rice boiled together with red beans.

Shinriki
   God's power

Shiosenbei
   Salted rice crackers

Shiryoh
   All the phenomena caused by the will-waves of grudge, envy, stinginess, jealousy, anxiety, and others left behind after death.

Shoh (Ref. page 14)
   Intermediaries between atoms and ether. Atoms are filled with Shohs which serve as a kind of adhesive cement to fuse all elements.

Shohden
   One of the titles of the gods in the rank of Myohjin.

Shrine
   The house where failure-gods are enshrined and worshipped (in this book).

Shuhnen
   Wish-attachment, series of tenacious wishes of desire, and all the phenomena caused by such wishes.

Suijin (Chapt. 1 3 )
   Water-gods

Taira (Heike)
   The family name of the clan which once governed Nippon in its best days.

Taishuh Nenryoh Taisan Kuyoh
   The Heavenly rule to extinguish the will-waves of the masses' Nenryoh.

Taishuh Muen Botokes
   Many Hotokes unrelated and unknown to you

Tenshi (Ref. table of the spirit-ranks)
   Angels

Tsuhriki
   Personal power gained through one's own hard discipline

Uji
   family name

Uji-deity
   The deities who protect only those who have the same names as the deities.

Uzumaki senkoh
   Circular incense

Yasha
   One of the titles of the gods in the rank of Myohjin.

Yuhmujin (Ref. table of spirit-ranks)
   The highest ranking gods who deal with "existingness" and "nothingness" at their own will, and preside over the grand natural nature.

Zohbutsunushi Creators (Ametsuchi-no-Kamis) (Ref. table of spirit-ranks)
   The gods who control the grand natural nature.
